Dr. Rolf Riesen

Senior Research Scientist, IBM Research Ireland

Rolf Riesen holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of New Mexico and is a senior research scientist in the exascale systems group at IBM Research, Ireland. Before 2011 he was a principal member of technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His research interests include low-level message passing protocols, systems software, and operating systems for massively parallel supercomputers. In recent years he has concentrated on simulating exascale systems and fault tolerance for the applications that will run on these systems.
