Dr. Detlef Hohl

Manager Computation & Modeling, Shell International Exploration & Production

Detlef is Manager Computation and Modeling in Shell’s Innovation, Research and Development organization and oversees a large computational research program in Houston (USA), Rijswijk (Netherlands) and Bangalore (India). He has a Masters degree in chemistry from Technische Universität München and a Ph.D. and Habilitation in physics from RWTH Aachen. Detlef was a research scientist at Forschungszentrum Jülich for 10 years, spent two postdoctoral years at NCSA in Urbana-Champaign and joined Shell R&D in 1997.
