Takumi Washio

Researcher, University of Tokyo

Takumi Washio has worked at Computational Biomechanics Laboratory, School of Frontier Sciences, the University of Tokyo as a research staff member since 2004. After he received M.S. degree in Mathematics from Osaka University in 1990, he joined NEC Corporation where he worked for computer hardware design for the first two years, and then worked in the area of fast algorithms for supercomputers. He moved to the current position in 2004. Since then he has engaged in developments of multi-scale and multi-physics heart simulator.
