David Blaskovich

Program Director for HPC in Government & Research, IBM

Mr. Blaskovich is currently with the IBM Technical Computing Division, and is the Program Director responsible for the global HPC sales & marketing strategies for customers in government, research, weather, environment, and energy sectors.
Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Blaskovich was employed by Silicon Graphics, Cray Research, Inc., and Control Data Corporation, spending his full career working in the field of applying advanced technology and high performance computing to the atmospheric and oceanographic sciences.
Mr. Blaskovich has also served as a member of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Science Advisory Board (SAB), which serves to advise the NOAA Administrator on long- and short-range strategies for research, education, and the application of science to resource management and environmental assessment and prediction.
Mr. Blaskovich holds a Masters of Science in the Natural Sciences/Physical Oceanography, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.
