Dr. Hartmut Mix

Hartmut Mix has studied physics at the University of Leipzig and the Academy of Science in Berlin and received a PhD in physics in 1987. Then he has worked as a research scientist at TU Dresden in physics and computer science. Today, he is the head of the department ”Programming and Software Tools” at the Center for Information Services and High Performance Computing (ZIH), a central scientific unit of the Technische Universitaet Dresden. His research profile covers high performance computing, performance tool development and Grid computing activities. He is one of the leading developers of the well-established performance analysis tool Vampir.
